Going through random comic forums to find more people that could be interested in what I'm trying to promote. Ran their sites through Stumble Upon, del.icio.us, and I'm going to be making lenses in Squidoo for the lot of them to get more people in there to see what I want them to look at. Of course, having the lenses link directly to the things as well. Just makes good sense to me.
More into the topic of this post, the content I use when writing is just as important. Trying to get certain keywords placed in from time to time while building credibility among the people of the forum. The signature is also incredibly important. There you can put in your link without being suspicious. Overusing that link however, very bad idea. Not to mention that some forums don't display the signature to search engines/non-forum members. This is where you somehow work the link in your signature (which is meant more for forum members) to the content of your posts. Just keep in mind that forums us BB coding. Which means instead of the anchor tag in HTML, you'll be using [url] instead. It's a lot of work, but it will give a lot more exposure in the end.
