I just read an article relating to SEO optimization and the author warned against something that I've noticed a great many fall victim to--keyword stuffing.
I've read some sites where people overuse keywords not only throughout the entire amount of content but also within paragraphs. Not only will search engines boot that out more often than not, but, as an unbiased reader, I would have a hard time following it!
Keywords should fall naturally within content to make ideas flow. Visitors to a website will be more apt to read and continue reading if content is coherent and pleasing to the eye. I think a lot of today's writers are just out to grab the headlines without thinking what kind of content comes next.
In the end, substance will always win out over style for long term results.
