At work sometimes I do not get enough time to work on my HTML building skills and I know I need to improve in that area...it will make my job a lot easier plus open me up to more responsibilities...perhaps....
I was looking online last night at one of my favorite websites...smashingmagazine.com
Reading articles and post on HTML trying to learn more to improve my skills in design and layout....read an article last night and this is directed mainly for the less experienced person who might be trying to design their first site or just trying to improve and perfect their coding.....
This article tells you a lot about laying out your structure and using a level structure with PHP to create a lot of different avenues....
Kind of hard for me to explain it better than reading the article so
The article is (X)HTML template systems in PHP
So keep on learning...trust me I realized a long time ago that no matter how good you might be at something someone is better than you at it........

Five Rules For Professional Web Design
By Ryan Hicks
Design Elements
When creating a professional web design, the actual visual design of the site is very important. There are 4 primary pieces of the site that must be included on almost every design; header, menu, content area and footer. The header is usually at the top of the website and this serves as sort of an intro to the website. It usually has a mix of a graphical and textual description of what your website is about. This is usually where you would have the company logo so the user knows what site they are on as soon as they get there.
Sitting here at the end of the day melting from the outside heat that is baking this building I decided on this Monday to talk about keeping you cool in your SEO work....sometimes it can get pretty intense and frustrating with clients and problem sites...I found this out this morning with client 1990....my main concern and disgruntlement with this site was the lack of help it gave me in SEO and designing skills, and maybe due to the heat I am not too sure but it really frustrated the "bleep" out of me today.... I just kept reminding myself to keep my cool and become creative again, Monday's are way too hard to start getting fustrated so early in the morning...I blame it on the heat, so stay cool and your work will reflect....

When having to go back and rework accounts from the past it is hard to stay calm, you know easy going on the outside kicking and screaming on the inside like a duck on a pond...if you don't get my analogy that will have to be for another blog....
Anyways with the changing SEO guidelines and standards, you realize that every site you once did you will have to rework and change....the only problems are when you get one of an old client that is so out of date and have to add so much to it
Working on client 1027 was an original T1 template which needs to be upgraded to T3....the site name is http://easy-incomesystem.com it is still in T1 template but you will be able to see how much I have to add to the site....like I said a duck on a pond!!!
Thinking if there really is a huge difference when it comes to bold keywords in content....I know about the H tags, so I am guessing that adding a tag to the content would benefit it....I was trying to do research on this but I am out of time today but I was really crious on this because it does seem that sometimes when you add bold keywords it gives a boost to the ranks but only on some cases or on some keywords....I think it just depends on the word.....but seriously I was wondering if it really worked with the tags.....actually looking for the answer on this
When looking at what to do to help rankings on a site, it often seems to be the simple things thast are the difference. While looking at http://jagmarketingsystemjensen.com today I noticed in the ranks of only a few of the words were not ranking well most were under the target range yet the site was still not ranking. After an upgrade to T3, I did notice that the weather map was not loading properly and I was wondfering how much of an impact that would have on the ranks, I didn't feel like adding too much more content to a site that has a solid amount, the only word that did not rank were the generalized keywords of your basic MLM...so I am going to let this site ride for a week and see if the small changes I made will make a big improvement or not
In creating an SEO site for a client, you have to consider that the client's site will do you no good in your ability to rank their site....
What I mean by this is that most people who create a business site or a personal site for that matter, have the idea of putting design over content. This is due to the thinking of making an appealing site will drive people to your business. The fact of the matter is that yes, design is the key to attract people to your business site, but without quality content on your site, it may win awards on design but no one will find it through a search.
I am working on a client that has a really basic, bland, not a lot of content and designed simple site. This is going to be a challenge to rank because even with great content, linking back to this site is not going to help it too much...we'll see
I am finding out more and more on the use of bold keywords and how much of a difference it actually makes..
Reworking client 1535 today and the ranks were low not because of the content because the content is rich with keywords, but not bold....from previous sites I have realized how much bolding keywords makes... I also transferred it to T3 so that the keyword meta tags were being pulled, and made it easier to combine the five pages of content into a solid home page.
I added it all together and then made the keywords bold, we shall see how this turns out but as of my thinking now, this should be a success.

I came across two accounts this afternoon from new clients that have signed up and obviously expect results and ranks. I do think that small specific companies that have a product, or a service are easier to rank than a broader company...but what to do when you get a Multi-Level Marketing client who only purchases 7 keywords like client 1895.... I feel the content is good and was written well, but with my experience in this I don't believe that it will ever be good enough to rank them, so should there be a MLM minimum in keyword purchase?? Not sure, something to think about because when it is sometimes impossible to rank a 50 keyword MLM site, how do we even think we can rank a 7 keyword one....I might be wrong but I just believe all we will do is create an angry client or more work than needed.......
Looking back at some of these reworks we have to rewrite and a lot of it I can not understand, not going to throw anyone under anything, but come on...on both reworks I have had to basically scrap the existing content and rewrite all of it completely. It is not that I want to it is just because of the gramatical errors and lack of making anything make sense in the whole site....It is really fustrating.. I dont want to do it, but I know SEO is based a lot of grammar and relevance and why turn something in that doesn't make any sense, because it will only come back and have to do done over again and that is such a waste of time....
I will get off my soap box now!!
